When did you first start CrossFit? 2010

Tell us about your sports & fitness background. I played a variety of sports growing up – basketball, softball, soccer, and more. In high school I focused on soccer. I played on my high school team and competitively.

How did you first get into CrossFit? How did it go? Aaron’s cousin dragged me to Eclipse in the summer of 2010 and I’ve never looked back!  As far as how it went – there was LOTS of scaling!

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health, and fitness since starting CrossFit? I have developed skills and strength that I didn’t know I was capable of!  If you asked me if I was ever going to be able to do a pull up when I first started, I would have laughed and said “no”! Also, I have the strength and energy to run and play with my nieces and nephews – and they only semi wear me out 😉

What impact has CrossFit had on your life? Outside of the obvious health and fitness impact, CrossFit has brought some special people into my life. I have crossed paths with people that have become close friends and had a significant impact on my adult life. Also, I feel inspired every day seeing people accomplish their goals and do things they never thought possible.

What is your advice for people getting started or thinking about starting CrossFit? Try it and give it one month. It will change your perspective on fitness and health. Also, be patient! There are lots of new and technical moves that take lots of practice and training to develop.

What are your hobbies, interests, and other talents outside of CrossFit? I love to spend time with family and friends; particularly my niece and nephew 😉!! Also, I love to travel and try new things! I think every new experience teaches us a little about ourselves.

What’s the wallpaper of your phone? A picture of me and Patrick – but I just changed it because I thought “clouds” was a boring answer
