When did you first start CrossFit? I started many years ago, but joined Eclipse in September of 2020.

Tell us about your sports & fitness background.

In high school, I danced about 3-4 days a week. I never really needed to do more than that. In college I went to the gym, but mostly did cardio. After college, much of the same until I started CrossFit.

How did you first get into CrossFit? How did it go?

I started CrossFit because my husband started going. Crossfit was all he talked about: the WOD, his time on the WOD, how much he lifted or didn’t lift, etc. I had never really tried anything like that, but I was curious. So, I went. I stuck with it for several years and then I took about a 3
year hiatus and did some other things. Then in September, I was in a bad place with my weight, sleep, motivation, etc. I knew something had to change. I thought back to when I felt good and it was when I was doing CrossFit, so I decided to jump back in.

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health, and fitness since starting CrossFit?

In the 3 months I have been back, I have lost 15 pounds. My pictures alone are evidence of progress. I am seeing gains in lifting capacity and getting better with cardio. I am feeling better, eating better, and working out. I still have a ways to go toward my goals, but the coaches and members at Eclipse CrossFit have been wonderfully supportive and welcoming to me! I
appreciate that soooo much!

What impact has CrossFit had on your life?

The impact has been great. I am losing the weight that needs to be off, gaining muscle, sleeping better, eating healthier (majority of the time), and I am just feeling better and more confident
again.

What is your advice for people getting started or thinking about starting CrossFit?

Just try it, and stick with it! Anyone can do it, any workout can be modified to meet your specific needs/restrictions. Improvement takes time and practice, so you have to stick with it! I also think setting short and long term goals help too.

What are your hobbies, interests, and other talents outside of CrossFit?

I love to travel, spend time with family at Grand Lake, read a good book (especially on the beach with a good adult beverage- logged in my fitness pal of course😂), and love a good karaoke 🎤session.

What’s the wallpaper of your phone?

Multiple pictures of my family.
