Who are you outside Eclipse?
Owner of Wyatt Technical Services, Inc., entrepreneur, friend and mom of 2
When did you first start training at CrossFit Eclipse?
What is your sports & fitness background?
Not much, I’ve always enjoyed group workouts and loved a dance workout class that I did, but wasn’t involved in sports of had opportunities for the fitness I liked
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CF (before/after)?
Confidence! If I can do a deadlift, I can speak in front of an audience. Determination – goal setting. I decided to be able to do a pullup and I did, this rolled over to my business life. I started setting goals, making sales, I figure if I could do a pullup or a rope climb I could stand in front of a group and give a presentation and make a sale. I’ve also started to make healthier eating choices – no diets, just healthy choices, I feel better, I look better. I’ve dropped 10lbs in the past year, gone down 2 pants sizes and can even say I have a tiny muscle starting to show. I can say I like who I am, I like how I look and I can’t wait for what’s next.
Please share with us any favorite CrossFit Eclipse moments?
The community – every day you walk it you’ve succeeded and everyone makes you feel like a success. From the person whose been there for 10 years and has 0% body fat to the person who started yesterday – everyone has always made me feel like I belong. That I did something right by simply showing up. Some days I give it my all, some days showing up as much as I have to give. I’ve made lifelong friends – who have helped me through personal transitions and have shown support beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. It truly is a non-judgment zone and the coaches at CF have created an atmosphere for support, encouragement and personal growth – LOVE IT!! I’m also soooo thankful for the coaches – they are beyond amazing in all that they do, they give tips, advise, check-in on you and do countless things behind the scenes to show support and make sure CF is the best experience ever.
What goal are you currently working towards?
Improvements, Being able to do 3 pullups in a row, being able to string together Dub’s (and breath), I would like to go to a competition and compete not just go for fun. Personally, higher weight lifting is not my goal, but its’ always fun to see the numbers go up. When I started my deadlift was 55#, I just hit 200#?!?!?
Any advice for people just getting started or new to CrossFit?
START!! I mean, what have you got to loose – one of the best decisions of my life. Get better – be better. Life is short. Go for it!
