Biography

Hometown?
Greenwood, AR

Who are you outside Eclipse?
I am a mom and wife of three crazy boys! I own a small business, J. Cole Shoes, of 13 years in Tulsa and Stillwater. We love to work on our house, vacation, golf and spend time with friends/family on our days off!

When did you first start training at CrossFit Eclipse?
I started in April 2013. I know because I found out I was pregnant with my first child a month after I started.

What is your sports & fitness background?
High School – Cheerleading and Basketball.

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CF (before/after)?
I have always been active. I have either ran, biked, or weight trained in small amounts throughout my life. This is definitely the longest I have stayed at one place to workout. I became the strongest with the help of crossfit.

Please share with us any favorite CrossFit Eclipse moments?
For me, I love the people and coaches. Also, the gym is constantly trying to connect people from all the classes with outside events. At Eclipse you are pushed out of your comfort zone both inside and outside of the gym. Those are the moments you remember the most and become your favorite.

What goal are you currently working towards?
I am trying to find a balance between weights and cardio. After I turned 40, I have felt the need for more cardio. It is hard finding a balance with an active job, active young boys and pushing yourself at the gym. As of right now my lifestyle works better with more cardio and lighter weights.

Any advice for people just getting started or new to CrossFit?
Show up. Show up even when you don’t want to. Show up when you are sore, tired, and/or frustrated. It is okay to scale or change up the workout. Don’t put pressure on yourself. I feel like crossfit is a marathon not a sprint.
